News/ Specials   Self-Aligning LED Spacer Mounts     A precision engineered series of self-aligning LED mounts for Bi-Lead, T1 & T1 ¾ LEDs is now available from Keystone Electronics Corp.   A unique design feature is an internally tapered barrier that guides the LED leads through a mount, assuring proper alignment on 0.100” (2.54mm) centers. This also helps eliminate labour and assembly costs while removing the potential for crimping or shorting LED leads. No special tools are required for efficient preassembly to PC Boards.   Moulded from Nylon material, (rated UL 94V-2), these mounts control heights from 0.120” to 0.925” (3.04mm to 23.49mm) with 0.020” (0.5mm) bosses. Bosses lift the mount to serve the dual. purpose of “heat dissipation” and “post solder clean-up”.   A group of “Universal” LED Spacer Mounts, accommodating both Tri-Lead and Bi-Lead T1 & T1 ¾ LED, is also manufactured by the company. These are black Nylon molded (UL 94V-0 rated), in 0.120” to 0.925” (3.04mm to 23.49mm) lengths.
